PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER

Last week several of your team met for a day long Management Concepts meeting.

The Federation has, along with the individual SeniorNets including ourselves, been concerned at the trend amongst most SeniorNets of declining membership and class numbers.

The Federation has decided that this is the Year of Revitalisation of SeniorNet and to this end it has arranged for what was styled a Management Concepts day hosted by Pat and Duncan Fuller from one of the growing SeniorNets, Nelson.

It was a tremendous day and we came away with many ideas. Although quite a few they put to us we already had in train, but they did clarify that our thinking was along the right lines and some of the problems we had about changing the way we do our business were solved. As you will realise it takes time to implement any new procedures (and that is why we are always looking for volunteers) but you will see some of the ideas put into action over the coming months.

The important thing is that action is taken; and we have already started doing this.
