FIRST TERM OF 2009 AND NEW VIRUS

The first term of 2009 starts on 16 February and we hope you have all got your applications in by now.  If not - please do so urgently. An advertisement will be run in next weeks Hutt News to attract new members.

VIRUS WARNING:

Many of you will have read of the Health Departments current battle with a Virus (Worm) dubbed Conficker or Downadup. The worm also goes by the names Kido and Conflicker. Over 9 million computers have been infected.

Microsoft's anti-malware utility, Microsoft Software Removal Tool (MSRT), can now detect the worm. So it's important that if you haven't already done so, download the latest Microsoft security patch that went out earlier this week.
